Elizabeth Cook reads at St Edmundsbury Cathedral

Edmund in St. Edmundsbury smallThe Dean of St Edmundsbury is delighted to invite you to the launch of Edmund in Edmundsbury by Elizabeth Cook on 25 September at 11.30 am.

Edmund in Edmundsbury is a poem written by Elizabeth Cook while she was writer in residence at the Cathedral in 2012 – 2013. The poem has been hand printed by The Jericho Press, with specially-commissioned woodcuts by Andy English, hand-stitched and bound, to create a unique and beautiful limited edition of 250 copies. Each copy is signed and numbered by the poet.

Choral Matins will be held at 11.30 during which the Centenary anthem (with words by the Dean; music by Janet Wheeler) will be sung by the choir. A free reception will follow, during which Elizabeth will read the poem, and copies will be available for purchase.

Please RSVP to the Dean, The Very Reverend Dr Frances Ward ([email protected])
